A silver plated openwork filigree frame crowns this exceptional purse, knitted and beaded in silver glass over black. The purse is in immaculate condition with its original cream taffeta lining unstained and in excellent condition. The clasp snaps shut tightly. The beadwork ends in a 4 tiered fringe of looped beads. All beads are intact. Amazing condition for its age. I estimate circa 1900. The purse is 6" wide by 6.5" long. The silver chain handle measures 12" long.
