Rare Momo Coral and Akoya Pearl earrings, gold filled. erfn126

This exquisite pair of earrings feature rare 13 mm Momo Coral beads and 9 mm Akoya Japanese salt water semi baroque pearls. These Japanese Momo Coral focal beads have a deep texture and a gorgeous color. The earrings are made with gold filled wire and shepherds hook earwires, with a secure silicone ear nut. Earring drop length is 44.3 mm.  Momo Coral is extremely rare and is only produced when a sponge inhabits a coral colony, emitting an acid that carves little tunnels which becomes it's habitat. This process differentiates Momo Coral (a precious coral) from Sponge Coral (not precious), which has differently colored vein-banding and a different texture.
