Phoenician Head, dark face, yellow dots, glass pendant replica. A wonderful handmade reproduction of a glass head pendant in the style of those from ancient Phoenicia circa 7th to 3rd century BC. There is a loop at the top for stringing. These are copies of glass head pendants made in Phoenicia, Cyprus and  Carthage in North Africa during the 5th to 3rd century BC.  They are fabricated much like the originals; rod-formed with applied elements in different colored glass.   Each of these glass heads have a rod hole at the bottom.  It is suggested that these were worn as protective talisman ornaments. Approximately 39x16mm. Made in Indonesia. 1 piece.
