3 large marbled marbled Bakelite beads. Cylindrical Phenolic resin, African trade. 22x20mm to 25x21mm. Two oval beads and one barrel bead. These date to the mid 20th century or earlier. These beads are highly prized and traded in Africa and are made of Phenolic resin otherwise referred to as Bakelite.  Made in Germany in the early decades of the 20th century, beads of this composition have been traded in Africa for over 100 years. Hole size is 3mm. 26 grams.  Listing is for 1 strand of 3 beads.
