Vintage reverse painted hollow glass bead, all hand painted, each side has a different design.This stunning bead was painstakingly hand painted on the interior some years ago in China. It has a layer of clear glass over translucent painted blue core. This bead has fine detail depicting a bird on a flowering branch on one side, flowers, foliage and butterfly on other side. Artisans who can do this type of work have become scarce to extinct in China today and these little works of art are no longer being made. Pancake disk shape 31mm diameter. 17mm thickness.
