Sugilite and Pearl Earrings, 14kt Yellow Gold. j-erfn111

Sugilite was discovered in 1944 by Dr. Ken-ichi Sugi of Japan where the first deposits of this gem were found. Sugilite has an amazing natural bright-purple color. This opaque stone is set off nicely by the tiny lustrous seed pearls surrounding each of the 12x10 oval bezel set natural Sugilite stones. The pearls are surrounded by a border of gold wire filigree and a white pearl has been suspended from  the very bottom. The back of the ear rings are secure posts. 25x15mm.
