This Japanese Satsuma porcelain two-part buckle is encased in a silver backing, and features the distinctive cream glaze and fine crackles associated with Satsuma porcelain. The detailed enamel work showcases intricate flower and foliage designs, along with a deep dark blue border and gold ornamental dots. Each buckle measures 1.5x2 inches, and has the maker's mark in Kanji characters impressed on the reverse side. This piece is in excellent condition.
