Rare Vintage carved olive pit Fish bead. Sold individually. b7-wo360

We were thrilled to find these exceedingly rare hand carved  stylized fish beads made from olive pits. The miniature folk art of fruit pit carving has been practiced in China for centuries. These beads were purchased from an estate and we were extremely fortunate to find them. Carvings with this level of handwork are not being produced today. Each is individually hand carved and vary slightly in size and detail. Average size is 29-30.5 x 15-16mm., hole size 2mm. Each one is a small work of art, completely hand carved into  stylized fish. Sold individually.
