Antique Qing Dynasty porcelain shard pendant, 100-300 years old. This is a genuine antique shard, not a reproduction. 1 1/2 x 1 1/8 x 1/4 inches. Wrapped in a silver over copper  band with a bail.  In terms of quality and authenticity they are a cut above many of the reproduction shard pendants on the market today

These pendants were originally acquired by a collector who purchased them in China in the early 1980s.  This is one of a large collection and we will be adding more to our shop.  We are fortunate to have acquired this wonderful collection and are pleased to offer them to you at a very reasonable prices.

This shard can be worn on a silver chain, or a silk ribbon or incorporated into a necklace. We would be happy to match this pendant with a silk ribbon or beads. Please let us know if you'd like a necklace made.

A bit of history:  During Mao Tse Tung's Cultural Revolution, many beautiful objects of art and jewelry were destroyed. In the 1980s, the broken pottery fragments were salvaged and reworked into jewelry, boxes, and other art objects.
